The Local Business Development Program is a platform to stimulate thinking and dialogue on issues, challenges and practical learning that are important for local business development in Brunei. This year’s format will consist of one seminar, one two-day workshop and one forum.

The LBD Program is now on its 8th year and aims to continuously nurture the development of Brunei SMEs by helping them to develop and grow their businesses through quality learning and building relationships with their peers in business and with other relevant organisations.

Companies have long engaged in head-to-head competition in search of sustained, profitable growth. They have fought for competitive advantage, battled over market share, and struggled for differentiation.

Yet in today’s overcrowded industries, competing head-on results in nothing but a bloody “red ocean” of rivals fighting over a shrinking profit pool. Upending traditional thinking about strategy, Blue Ocean Strategy charts a bold new path to winning the future.

Over 60 SMEs attended the seminar.

The seminar was delivered by Dr Peter Ting, Regional Director & Raj Kumar, Director of Strategy & Innovation of UCSI Blue Ocean Strategy Regional Centre.
