THiNK BIG Technology Forum 2010 to Spotlight Innovation in the Age of Connectivity

Innovation will take centre stage at this year’s coming THiNK BIG Technology Forum, co-organized by the iCentre and Asia Inc Forum for the third time, at the Empire Hotel on 28 October 2010. Over 200 delegates, leading players and practitioners from the ICT industry and those overseeing technological applications in business and government are expected to attend.
Delegates will learn how leading innovative technology enables business connectivity and efficiency, and assess its impact on society, the economy and the government.
This years THiNK BIG Technology Forum will feature a session on “Innovation: Delivering World Class Technology in Brunei”, to be led by Mr Kevin Walsh, Chief Technology Officer of Oracle Asia Research and Development Centres.
Kevin directs Oracle’s centers for technology R&D in China, Singapore, India, Australia, Japan and South Korea. He founded Oracle’s China Development Centers in 2001 and has since expanded Oracle’s technology innovation network to the entire Asian region. His team is focused on creating new software technology and industry solutions to address the specific needs of Asia’s rapidly growing regions.
Kevin is recognized as a visionary leader and technologist. He is a frequent speaker on future trends and emerging technologies that have impact on business and society. His current work includes projects centered on grid computing, digital cities, open source software, ubiquitous sensor networks, social networking, learning technology and life sciences in partnership with key stakeholders in industry and government throughout Asia.
Kevin has more than 20 years of Asian business experience. He previously led Oracle’s systems support and technology marketing divisions from the Oracle Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore. Since joining Oracle in 1988, Kevin led the development of many of its key strategic programs. While working at Oracle’s headquarters in Redwood Shores, California, he was responsible for managing the relationship with Oracle’s Global Alliance partners in North America, Asia and Europe.
This year’s ThinkBIG Forum will also feature interactive sessions with Rebecca Fanin, Author of “Silicon Dragon”; Ken Wye Saw, Vice President, Public Sector, Asia, Microsoft; e-Government experts and figures from Brunei.
