Bandar Seri Begawan – The National Environment Conference (NEC) is now entering its 5th year, and will be taking place at the Grand Hall, The Empire Hotel and Country Club, on June 20, 2012.

The NEC, Brunei’s premier and largest conference on environmental and economic sustainability, aims to provide a platform and help the public and private sector to engage the issues of environmental stewardship, natural resources management, and green business for a sustainable future.

The theme for this year’s conference will be ‘Conserving Our Natural Resources for a Sustainable Future’, and will focus on how the private and public sectors can cooperate and work towards creating and implementing conservation practices which will address resource issues, and how they can be managed.

The programme for this year will be taking a closer look at the future of water, energy, education for sustainable development, issues surrounding consumption and wastage, and resource efficiency.

The conference will additionally feature overseas speakers from USA, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, who will share their best practices and give participants an insight on how to implement them.

For more information on how to register for the conference and the awards, please contact Ms Nanette Ramos and Mr Paul Lee at 2226555, or via email at conference@asiaincforum.com, or visit Asia IncForum’s website at www.asiaincforum.com.
