Yusrein Hady Ghani

Environmental Engineer, TOTAL E&P Borneo B.V.

yusrein-hady-ghaniYusrein Hady Ghani is currently the Environment Engineer under the HSE Department of Total E&P Borneo B.V since 2010 and is primarily responsible for the evaluation and management of environmental impacts for the organization and HQ environmental reporting.

He began his career as a Second Secretary in the ASEAN Department and the Department of Multilateral Economics at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brunei. He later joined the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (DEPR) at the Ministry of Development as an Environment Officer where he focused on the development of environmental management and awareness for Brunei.

During his career at the DEPR, he was the programme manager for the first ASEAN Youth Forum on Environment as well as the Brunei Environment Youth Envoys (Brunei EYEs). He was also an active speaker and participated in several international conferences related to ASEAN Environment, Environment-Migration, Peace and Order, The United Nations Climate Change Conference, Climate Change Talks, UNEP Governing Councils and Global Ministerial Environment Forums amongst others.

Yusrein received his BA in Environmental Science majoring in Environmental Management and Policy from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia in 2001.

 

Dr. Romeo Pacudan

dr-romeo-pacudanDr. Romeo Pacudan is a Chief Researcher and Director of the Renewable and Alternative Energy Department of the Brunei National Energy Research Institute (BNERI), a policy think tank of the Energy Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, Brunei Darussalam. He is leading BNERI’s strategic and technical research activities on clean and sustainable energies.

Prior to joining BNERI, he has worked as Senior Energy Expert at Lahmeyer International GmbH in Bad Vilbel, Germany; Senior Energy Expert at the German International Cooperation (GIZ) in Eschborn, Germany; Senior Energy and Climate Change Expert at the Risoe National Laboratory in Roskilde, Denmark; and Assistant Professor in Energy Program at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand.

Romeo Pacudan has a doctorate degree in Applied Economics (specializing in Energy Economics and Planning) from the University of Grenoble, France and master degree in Engineering (specializing in energy technology and planning) from the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand. He has more than 20 years of work experience in energy sector development, and has worked on various assignments from both the private sector and international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, German International Cooperation, French Agency for Development, USAID, UN organizations, EU and other European bilateral/multilateral financing institutions.

Dr. Romeo Pacudan is one of the researchers recognized to contribute to the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2007.

 

Andrew Dy

andrew-dyAndrew Dy is the head of Regional Programs at Asia Inc Forum, based in Brunei.

In his current role, Andrew leads the team in executing programs in Southeast Asia. These include the Asian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (AFCSR) and the ASEAN 100 Leadership Forum. The AFCSR is Asia’s most-attended and most-followed conference on CSR thought leadership and best practice, co-convened with the Asian Institute of Management. Since 2006, Andrew has also provided support to Asia Inc Forum’s strategic partnership to the APEC CEO Summit. At this year’s APEC CEO Summit 2014 in China, he is responsible for ensuring that corporate partners of the Summit derive maximum value for their brands and business relationships.

Andrew is an aspiring outdoor photographer and enjoys wellness activities.

 

Erin Schrode

Co-Founder of Teens Turning Green

erin-schrodeErin Schrode is a young ecoRenaissance woman. As the “face of the new green generation,” the co-founder of Teens Turning Green promotes global sustainability, youth leadership, environmental education, and conscious lifestyle choices. Since 2005, her youth-led non-profit has worked to raise public awareness about environmental and social responsibility for individuals, schools, and communities through education and advocacy – inspiring the transition from conventional to conscious living among high school and college students, as well as the greater public. After working in disaster response in Haiti, she founded and launched The Schoolbag, a youth education project to provide tools and materials for students in need, as well as initiate active citizenry and environmental stewardship. The program has reached over 30,000 students in Haiti, in addition to deliveries in East Timor and South Africa.

This “incredible synthesizer and orator” speaks internationally and consults with corporations and organizations on millennials, social consumption, digital tendencies, sustainability, and purpose to drive positive impact and better business. A “sustainability prodigy,” Erin has been featured in and tapped as an expert for the NY Times, Vanity Fair, SF Chronicle, NY Post, Seventeen Magazine, Teen Vogue, National Geographic, ABC, NBC, BBC, CNN, FOX, MTV, PBS, E!, AOL, and other multimedia outlets. The “juggernaut in the non-profit and green world” hosts digital programs, leads events, and writes for The Huffington Post, her own ecoRenaissance blog, twitter, and others. An award-winning ecopreneur, Erin is the spokesperson for top organic and recycled brands, US Ambassador to One Young World, and as The White Housesaid, “a dynamic, passionate and ambitious young woman committed to creating big change everywhere she goes.”

She recently graduated from New York University as a prestigious DEANS Scholar, spending erms abroad in the Middle East, West Africa, South America, and Europe. Having visited over sixty countries, Erin has developed a keen global perspective and hopes to inspire her peers to take action and make the world a more sustainable and just place for future generations.

 

Jenny Malai Ali

Radio Presenter, Kristal FM

jenny-malai-aliJenny Malai Ali is a radio presenter for Kristal FM – Host of the “Afternoon Drive” and Co-host of the “KFM Breakfast Show”. She is also a TV Newsreader for RTB’s weekly ‘Business News’, and ‘Technology and Consumer News’.

As a freelancer she is engaged as a Voice Over Talent, and an MC (Mistress of Ceremonies) favouring Corporate and Business Events.

As an extension of her love of Radio Broadcasting, Jenny is a Radio Advertising Consultant partnering two companies – JHMS (Jenny and Hum Marketing Solutions) and WRAP (Wren and Pudding Services).

She is a mother to two young children; and in her free time enjoys yoga, trawling garage sales, and painting old wooden furniture pink or white or green.
