FOUNDERS and co-owners of five local businesses of various interests participate in the 2018 Local Business Development (LBD) Forum and Workshop held until tomorrow through scholarship grants from Progresif Cellular Sdn Bhd.

Over two days, chief representatives of Creativate, BenchLab, Eco-Ponies, Tarbiyah and Creative Space will immerse in training on business strategy and entrepreneurship discussions delivered by subject matter experts, established entrepreneurs and experienced practitioners.

The LBD Forum today will feature three speakers from abroad who will be joined by Bruneian figures.

The sessions are designed to stimulate creative thinking toward business prospects and difficulties, which will be complemented by inspiring real-life experiences and lessons.

Creating new demand and capturing loyal customers, successfully taking an idea to reality, pursuing new business possibilities, and having what it takes to be resilient are some of the discussions which delegates can learn from.

The LBD Workshop tomorrow will orient participants on the Blue Ocean Shift, a proven five-step method for businesses to differentiate, reduce cost, create new demand and grow market share.

The workshop will be facilitated by a veteran Blue Ocean expert from Malaysia.

Corporate Communication Manager at Progresif Hafiza binti Mohamad said, “As one of the four pillars of our social responsibility outreach, we are committed to developing entrepreneurship in the country. Progresif is pleased to support five aspiring local business founders by providing them scholarships to improve their business acumen and boost their chances of success.”

The 2018 LBD Programme is organised by Asia Inc Forum in collaboration with Baiduri Bank as major partner, Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata as print and digital media partners and MMW as creative partner.
