ABOUT ASEAN 100 LEADERSHIP FORUM
The ASEAN 100 Leadership Forum is a unique meeting of the foremost “next wave” leaders from business, government, and civil society. It represents a strategic network of individuals who positioned to expand opportunities and shape the future.
The Forum brings bringing together – by invitation only – the best and brightest men and women who are expected to play larger leadership roles in ASEAN in the next five years.
The agenda focuses on dialogue, debate and open discussion on key issues facing Southeast Asia and their implications to business, politics and our communities.
The ASEAN 100 Leadership Forum has included the participation of today’s ASEAN leaders whose visions, perspectives and leadership matter to the progress of the region. They include Malaysia’s Prime Minister Najib Razak, Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and Philippines’ President Benigno Aquino.
The inaugural Forum was held in 2003 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It subsequently rotated to Singapore (2005); Jakarta, Indonesia (2006); Hanoi, Vietnam (2007); Manila, Philippines (2008); Bangkok, Thailand (2009); Kuala Lumpur (2010) and Manila (2011).
The ninth ASEAN 100 Leadership Forum 2012 will be convened in Yangon, Myanmar for the first time at an important time in the country’s re-emergence and transformation.
