THiNKBIG embraces creative evolution

THE upcoming fifth THiNKBIG Innovate forum will focus on the ‘create evolution’ that is taking place around the world which is pushing the boundaries of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.

A statement from co-organisers Asia Inc Forum said that the annual technology and entrepreneurship forum, entitled “Embracing the Creative Evolution” will be held in cooperation with iCentre and will bring together 250 delegates from the Info-Communication Technology (ICT) industry, business community, educational institutions, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

“According to the Institute of the Future, the six drivers that will most likely shape the future workforce include longer life spans; a rise in smart devices and systems; advances in computational systems; new multimedia technology; the continuing evolution of social media; and a globally connected world,” Asia Inc said.

It added: “All of these are strongly underpinned by ICT as the enabler global creative industry in general.” Asia Inc Forum’s Programme Manager, Delwin Keasberry, said that the Innovate 2012 forum is a platform for inspiration, learning and ideas in building better businesses and markets.

“It will also be an avenue for a stronger industry and firmer framework for encouraging entrepreneurship as well as understanding how the world is embracing the emerging technologies. We have put together a programme that will be certain to inspire, excite and make a difference here in Brunei,” he said.

Keasberry noted that Asia Inc Forum has confirmed speakers who are leading technologists, innovators and entrepreneurs who have built technologies and business that have made a significant impact on the world, adding that “this is the forum you should not miss”.

Asia Inc Forum said that the topics at THiNKBIG Innovate 2012 will bring together an “exciting mix” around digital media, start-ups, e-Government, creativity and going global, in a format that aims to inspire and ignite entrepreneurship and innovation in Brunei.

The forum will feature distinguished thought leaders and entrepreneurs from the globe which includes: Founder of SideEffects Global in Canada, Kim Davidson; Co-Founder of Muvee in Singapore, Lo Sheng; Founder & CEO, Interactive Sg of Singapore, Ash Singh; and CTO & Co-Founder, of Nulisbuku.com from Indonesia.
