Asia Inc & iCentre to hold dialogue on Feb 16

Asia Inc Forum yesterday announced that it will be organising in cooperation with iCentre a dialogue over lunch themed ‘Emerging Technologies and the Drive to Innovate’ on February 16.

Organised as part of the THINK BIG Innovate Dialogue Series, the dialogue will be led by Dr Gyorgy Ladics, Chief Operating Officer at Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam and International Director at Fajr Capital Ltd.

According to the Asia Inc press statement, the objective of the dialogue is to discuss how technology and innovation can be used as effective tools to grow a business.

“Among the highlights include looking at the technologies that have transformed the business environment over the last two years, expected trends, how businesses should leverage on the emerging technologies and common challenges for Bruneian enterprises,” reads the statement.

It is also mentioned in the press release that Dr GyorgyLadics was previously Chief Information Officer at Barclays – Emerging Markets region, and he enabled Barclays’ geographical expansion and entry into new markets like India, Pakistan, Russia and relaunch of businesses in UAE, Egypt, Uganda by providing essential Operations & Technology capabilities.

Prior to joining Barclays, he was Vice President at Citigroup – Central Europe Region, where he held various senior positions including Chief Operating Officer – Czech Republic, Head of Technology for Central European Region, and Senior Operating Officer – Hungary.

Dr Ladics holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Informatics and a Doctorate degree from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

“Aimed at bringing together chief technology officers, government officers, entrepreneurs and executives, the dialogue is a platform to discuss practical approaches to adapting to the evolving needs to innovate,” said Asia Inc Forum.

“It will help attendees gain a detailed understanding of emerging technologies that impact businesses and innovation,” they added.
